(Recitation Loops: Custom Range (with linking line) + Auto-Repeat Counter in Mistake Detection Mode)
Assalamu alaykum, Tarteel team.
Every hifz method on earth is built on one atomic unit:
take a precise portion, repeat it a precise number of times.
Tarteel verifies my recitation brilliantly - but it still can't hold that unit for me.
Here is my daily reality. I memorize page by page: each new page gets
forty blind repetitions
, and - following the classical linking technique - my portion is never just the page: it's
the full page plus the first line of the next one
, so the pages chain together in memory and khatmah recitation flows without seams.
Today, Tarteel supports neither half of this unit:
1. No custom range.
I can't tell the app: my session runs from 505:1 to the first line of 506. Selection is bound to whole surahs/pages, so the linking line - the most important line in the whole method - falls outside every session.
2. No repeat counter.
Forty reps means forty manual restarts, forty interruptions of a flow-state that took effort to build. I currently count on paper - next to an AI that counts my mistakes in milliseconds.
The feature:

To be clear: this is about
recitation
mode with live Mistake Detection - not listening playback, which has its own many requests on this board.
* A counted "for-loop" is also simply more stable than the open-ended loop mode users report crashing.
This is not a luxury request. The range-plus-counter loop is the engine room of hifz as taught in every traditional halaqah - Tarteel has digitized the sheikh's ear; this feature digitizes the sheikh's assignment. And it composes beautifully with what you're already building: Spaced Repetition needs defined portions, and Tajweed Detection needs repeated passes to show progress.
