Ability to collect / mark Ayats
w
waqar144
In every juz / surah some huffaz make the same mistakes over and over again. A feature where we could collect ayats into a collection which can later be viewed for quickly reviewing all the ayats again.
Flow can be something like this:
- long tap menu -> mark/move to collection
For reviewing:
- Open "Collections"
- Select "juz"
- A list of all marked ayats are shown
The app can group the ayats by juz automatically.
Additionally there can be support for custom selections so that I can collect for e.g all ayats which are also Duas.
Most important thing in all this would be that the collection/list shows the ayats directly and not like bookmarks which show numbers instead of the actual ayat text.
On top of this, there can be an automatic program to help the hafiz fix the mistake ayats, for example by adding reminder to repeat the set of ayats 7 times a day or something like that.

I see this feature is in progress. Mohamed Moussa I've written code to do exactly this and would love to share it with you. A beta version is available at sabakh.com Thanks.

This is great. I think it would also be a good idea, just like the highlighted mistakes to have a visual gradient of the revision. For example, if i just read surat Yasseen it would mark it as a certain rank or color and the more I leave it without revising (i.e. don’t follow the revision plan) the more the rank drops / color fades.
This is going a bit on a tangente, but another idea for this feature would be to make sure that the revision is solid by, after finishing the daily revision, prompting the user to repeat the verses with a mistake (as well as the one before and after to consolidate memorization) a number of times. It is quite clunky to do that with the current version since you have to read the ayats, press pause, then repeat. I feature where if you click on the mistake you have the possibility to erase the highlight by repeating the ayah (as well as the one before and after) a certain number of times (depending on the color) would be useful in my opinion.

Mohamed Moussa what’s the latest on this one?
Mohamed Moussa
mohdfw This is something we originally wanted to release as part of the Goals feature but we separated them. It's now planned. I've updated the status of this request accordingly.

I really recommend this and do jot forget to add a "stop memorizing" button just in case someone stopped due to Ramadan or any personal reason.
