If the purpose of this is to know whether you are on the right or left side of the mushaf, there is already a way to know this.
There are lines on the side of each page indicating whether it is left or right. Additionally, when you tap on the screen to hide the header and footer, you will see that the page number at the bottom of the screen is on the appropriate side as well.
