In our time, lots of books in libraries usually brown/a slight yellow.

Even on our phones and tablets, a night mode, usually makes elements brownish/yellowish.

Other Qur'an apps that I am aware of also have a option for a brownish background.

This helps drastically as it's proven to be more more soft and comfortable on the eyes, and it is easier and better to read during the night or day.
